Did you know that on this day in 1752 Benjamin Franklin experimented by flying a kite during a thunderstorm. The result was a little spark that showed the relationship between lightning and electricity. In 1844, on this day, Charles Goodyear was granted a patent for the process that strengthens rubber. So all in all, it seems that June the 15th is a pretty good date for innovation – what have you invented today?
